How do you feel about moving towards electric vehicles?
Ember Korowai Takitini is excited about moving towards an electrified fleet, we’re committed to operating sustainably and this is an important part . We are not small, so the change will not happen overnight, but we have already made a good start and can see the environmental and financial benefits. There is still a few vehicle type gaps out there (for example vans), but options in NZ are growing year on year. Its an exciting time.
What did you think about working with Future Energy in going electric?
Our experience with Future Energy has been positive. Together we’ve been equipping some staff and office hubs with EVSE/Chargers. The team are knowledgeable and jobs done to a tidy standard.
As a forward-thinking business, how does using electric vehicles align with your core principles?
Ember’s primary goal is always the whaiora/people we support. Our vision as a group is a society that better understands and responds to mental illness, addiction and disability. A huge part of this Is ensuring that we operate with sustainability front of mind to both be here for our people and to do the best we can for our planet along the way.
Darryl Bishop Ember Group CEO says
“We’re at the beginning of our sustainability journey, electrifying our fleet is one of our first steps.
