What system is best for me?
There are a number of factors to consider when deciding to invest in a solar system.
First off is deciding which solution is best for you and your home.

Grid-Tied System
A grid-connected solar power system is the simplest, most cost effective residential solar system. It also often provides the best return on your investment.
A grid-connected solar power system will utilise your generated solar power during sunlight hours and export excess solar power to the grid. When the sun goes down and your solar panels are no longer generating the system will switch back over to the grid.
This system is best if you have reasonable day time usage and / or able to load shift appliances to operate throughout the day i.e. washer / dryer, hot water, swimming pool, spa, EV etc.

Hybrid System
A hybrid solar system is an upgrade of a grid-tied solar system by incorporating battery storage. The hybrid system utilises battery storage to optimise the solar generation during the day by capturing any used solar power (instead of exporting it) and then using the stored power when the sun goes down.
The hybrid system is still connected to the grid which acts as the systems 'back up'. A significant additional benefit is back up power in event of a power outage.
This system is best if you have majority of your power usage outside of sunlight hours and have regular power outages.

Off-Grid System
Off-Grid systems have no connection to the grid and therefore require battery storage to power appliances when solar panels aren't generating enough power due to a lack of sun light.
If you are to go “Off-Grid” it is vitally important to understand your power usage and appliance load to correctly size your battery storage to last at least 1 - 2 days without recharging. Additionally we recommend integration with a back up generator so you are prepared for all situations.
While these systems can be complex and expensive, often, they’re more cost effective than running power lines to remote areas.
